but he does make sense.
One small nit: How the heck could Reed figure out how to disarm an alien mine? Like Reed, Trip did the same kind of thing in "Unexpected" by fixing an alien ship's warp engine. For humans new to deep space travel and alien technology, they seem to have a facility in fixing things. They are a little too capable and it's not quite believable.
The special f/x in this episode were top-notch. The shots of the ship after it was damaged and of the Captain and Reed on the hull were splendid. The story, although predictable was entertaining. I never lost interest in what was going on as the show was excellently paced. Again there was a bit too much music though.
Lastly, Archer's talking while trying to disarm the mine didn't just make Reed nervous. I found this irritating. How could he concentrate on what he was doing? Still, I enjoyed the episode.
I give this one a B+. The + for the f/x and Keating's acting.
